Tewit Silver Band was only formed in November 2017, as an adult arm of the long established Tewit Youth Band.
Its objective is to advance the participation, education and appreciation of the general public of all ages in the science of brass band music in Tewit and the surrounding areas through the provision of rehearsal facilities, instrument hire and tuition and by the participation in contests and concerts.
Under the baton and direction of Martin Hall, they enjoy entertaining people of all ages at concerts throughout the year.
As a contesting band they have had an amazing few years - successfully competing in The North of England Area Contests to gain promotion from 4th Section, into 3rd Section and then to the 2nd Section. In January 2025 they were promoted to the Championship section.
Tewit Silver Band are delighted to be appearing at Silsden Proms on the Farm again, for what is one of their favourite events!

New to the Proms line-up for 2026 are The Puretones - a local four-piece band playing indie, rock and pop.
Recently reformed after a 10-year break, the group have quickly become fan favourites after gigs in a variety of local venues across Silsden, Steeton, Addingham and Skipton - as well as a gig earlier this year as part of Saltaire World Heritage Day.
With a reputation for upbeat performances and a varied setlist, The Puretones aim to keep audiences entertained and dancing throughout their shows.
